"BEAMS JAPAN" pop-up shop in Vancouver for the "Japan Unlayered" exhibition at Fairmont Pacific Rim

February 1, 2017

Hello Vancouver!
A "BEAMS JAPAN" pop-up shop that features a special edit of Japanese lifestyle products is in Vancouver for the "Japan Unlayered" event at Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Giované cafe until February 28.

The "BEAMS JAPAN" pop-up store introduces Japan like you’ve never seen before. In each and every product, our team of creative geniuses combined traditional craftsmanship with modern lifestyle. Tailor Toyo jackets, Loopwheeler sweatshirts, Porter bags, kokeshi dolls, paper lanterns, sake cups and kendama all have special stories to tell. Available for an exclusive pre-release is the brand new Rizzoli book "BEAMS beyond TOKYO" which beautifully compiles 40 years’ worth of collaborations that BEAMS engaged in with authentic international brands and creators. (The book will be released globally in select bookstores on February 14.)

"BEAMS JAPAN" is a new project and shop by BEAMS that presents the best of modern and traditional Japan, launched in Tokyo last year. This pop-up shop is the first for BEAMS in North America.

"Japan Unlayered" is an exhibition of Japanese architecture, design and culture curated by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, his firm KKAA, and leading Canadian developers Westbank and Peterson.
