Soso Kiln in Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture was founded in 1980 by Yasukazu Kawano, who studied pottery in Seto and apprenticed under Koichi Takita. In a quiet environment surrounded by flora and fauna throughout the seasons, he works closely with the soil to create porcelain that fits into everyday life.
