Whether it's sunny or rainy, look up at the umbrella and enjoy the four seasons!
A long umbrella Special order BEAMS JAPAN, which expresses the colorful changes of Japan's rich nature with the seasons through textiles. The pattern, created by textile designer Ai Sugisaki, is based on the theme of cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, and chrysanthemums, and has soft colors and elegance, with the luster and three-dimensionality that only woven fabrics can provide, adding color to your daily life. All of the fabrics used in Makita Shoten umbrellas are sewn, assembled, and carefully finished by craftsmen using techniques cultivated in weaving and fabric making, resulting in beautiful, high-quality umbrellas like no other.
Type: 8-rib, hand-operated, rain or shine umbrella, UV cut (90% or more)
[Precautions for use]
-After using the umbrella, dry it in the shade in a well-ventilated area and fold it up once it is dry.
- If moisture remains inside the umbrella, it can cause mold to grow on the fabric, rust on the ribs, and corrosion of the center pole.
- If you close your umbrella while it is wet for a short period of time, wipe off as much water as possible and then dry it thoroughly before folding it.
・If you leave it in direct sunlight for a long time, it may cause the fabric to fade and the handle to deteriorate. If you will not be using it for a long time, store it in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight and high temperatures.

We started our business in 1866 as a wholesaler of Kai silk textiles in Nishikatsura-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture. In 1946, the business, which had been dormant after the war, made a fresh start as <Makita Shoten>. In 1954, we began producing umbrella fabric and established a national position in ``yarn-dyed Western umbrella fabric.'' Today, we have grown into a company that handles everything from design to fabric manufacturing and product production, which is rare in Japan.
