■ Keiichi Tanaami
Born in Tokyo in 1936. Graduated from Musashino Art University.
As an art director, graphic designer, illustrator, filmmaker and artist, he continues to actively cross the boundaries of professions and is highly regarded as a role model of the modern, versatile artist. Using the design methodology of "editing," he continues to create works that go beyond the framework of fine art, and has produced a wide range of works, from collages, prints, drawings, animations, experimental films, paintings, sculptures and installations. He is also widely recognized internationally as a pioneer in Japan in the ever-expanding context of "POP."
