I created this ring based on a design that is both modern and evokes a sense of stepping back in time to an ancient era.
This piece has a finish that allows you to feel the unique, warm texture of the clay, characteristic of Karatsu ware.
It is delivered in a special box, so it is recommended not only for yourself but also as a gift for a loved one.
The unique characteristics and charm of pottery from each historic production region are fully brought out and expressed in the new category of jewelry.
Each piece is carefully made, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of ``porcelain for wear.''
[Karatsu ware]
It uses a variety of molding and patterning techniques, and is characterized by its warm appearance that takes advantage of the characteristics of the soil.
After the Bunroku-Keicho War, Korean potters such as Shinkai Soden naturalized in Japan and opened kilns here.
The techniques and methods continue to be passed down to this day, boasting a history of 400 years. In the world of tea, there has long been a ranking of tea bowls as "First Raku, second Hagi, third Karatsu," and they are loved by many tea masters as masterpieces of the tea ceremony. In addition, they are highly regarded as sake vessels, as evidenced by the saying, "Bizen sake bottles, Karatsu sake cups."
[Care instructions and precautions]
・If it gets dirty, wipe it with a clean dry cloth or tissue. Jewelry cleaners cannot be used.
・Do not boil or soak in hot springs.
[Notes due to the characteristics of ceramics]
・Please be careful not to subject the accessory to strong impact or place heavy objects on top of it, as this may cause chipping or cracking.
- After firing at high temperatures, cracks and penetrations may be seen in the glaze that occurs during cooling. This may occur over time, but it is not a defective product. Please note that this is a characteristic of the material.
