It is said that it began around 1577, and full-scale production began around the time when Naozumi Nabeshima, the lord of Hasuike Domain, invited Korean potters to Yoshidayama and had them fire porcelain during the Kan'ei era (1624-1644).
Even today, he continues to work hard to improve his skills without being bound by style.
