[Ureshino Yoshida ware / Pottery: 224porcelain]
It is produced in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, which is famous for its tea production and as one of Japan's leading hot spring areas.
It began around 1577, and was established by the lord of Hasuike Domain during the Kan'ei era (1624-1644).
-It is said that full-scale production began around the time when Nabeshima Naosumi invited Korean potters to Yoshidayama to fire porcelain.
Since the pottery made in the Nabeshima clan was known as Arita ware, its name did not become widely known for a long time, but it is a pottery that boasts high technology cultivated over a 400-year history.
