*All items are handmade. Even if the pieces are the same shape, each one will be baked differently, with different patterns and other aspects.
Please note that there may be slight individual differences.
[Regarding the use of pottery and porcelain]●If you rinse the pan with water before serving food on it, it will be less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, be sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
If you are concerned about stains or odor transfer, one preventative measure is to seal the pores. Put the dishes in a pot with rice water or water mixed with wheat flour or potato starch, and boil over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool. After that, rinse lightly and dry thoroughly.
●Do not use in ovens. We do not recommend using microwaves or dishwashers.
*The color may look different from the actual color depending on the lighting and viewing environment of your computer. Please note.
*Please refer to the image taken of the product alone for the color of the product.
Okinawa Tsuboya ware began during the Ryukyu Dynasty, when potters and kilns scattered throughout the main island of Okinawa were brought together in the current Tsuboya district of Naha, which was the royal capital. After the war, many potters, led by Jiro Kinjo, who was a Living National Treasure, moved to Yomitan Village, and among them, Yomitan Yamayaki Kitagama has the largest climbing kiln with 13 series. In 1992, Yoneji Matsuda, Kyoshi Matsuda, Masayoshi Miyagi, and Masamori Yonabaru, who had been training in various places, jointly built a kiln, and while inheriting traditional Okinawan methods, they created a kiln that was adapted to modern times. We continue to make vessels.
