The second edition of “Tokyo PROJECT” focuses on illustrators!
Tokyo PROJECT is a project TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS, which continues to pursue the chaotic Tokyo-ness, and focuses on illustrators active in various genres. This second edition focuses on three illustrators with different colors: Yuu Kisaragi, Yu Kushima, and SOLA NI, and develops items that are not limited to just fashion, with a focus on newly drawn visuals with a Tokyo theme. This is a T-shirt using Yu Kushima's artwork.
■Yu Kushima
Born in 1991. Born in Shizuoka Prefecture. He primarily uses analog art materials such as acrylic gouache, millipen, and masking tape to create graphics based on black and white. Although his main focus is abstract expression, he also releases works that combine character illustrations. A solo exhibition “IMIOUM” will be held in February 2021. Collaborated with musician and music producer Tetsuya Komuro on "Sound ART Project FLUcTUS".
