Since its release in 1974, Koume-chan has been known as a girl with a chignon and plum blossom hair ornament, and a somewhat sad profile. This is a character idol that everyone knows now, created by Seiichi Hayashi, who has created many Japanese-style paintings of beautiful women.

Born in 1968 in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design Institute's Graphic Graduate School, he became a freelance illustrator. Since then, he has provided illustrations in various styles for magazines, advertisements, music media, the web, etc.
