Akihiro Woodworks' jincup ceramics are made at ONE KILN, a pottery studio in Kagoshima City, using a technique called "mud casting." As mud is poured into the mold one by one, a natural drip-like pattern appears on the inside. By adjusting the speed at which the mud is poured and the waiting time for the mud to harden in the mold, the thickness of the vessel and the shape remaining on the inside can be changed. Furthermore, firing in a kiln creates slight distortions, which give the vessel its own unique character and natural expression. This is an attractive piece with unevenness that shows the chisel marks on the surface, a distinctively shaped handle, and the smooth mouthfeel that is unique to porcelain.

Working under the name ONE KILN, the group is based on the concept of various connections that are born through kilns. They mainly use original molds to create their pottery, fusing the unique form of the molds with their own textures.
【Notes】
・Jincup ceramics are made by craftsmen using a technique called mud casting, where each piece is cast into a mold, resulting in natural dripping on the inside.
・The chamfering of the drinking spout is done by hand, so there will be individual differences between each piece.
- Firing in the kiln creates slight distortions that breathe life into the piece.
[Precautions for use]
Porcelain has a dense structure and a white surface, and is harder and stronger than pottery. It is not water-absorbent, so it is resistant to stains, mold, and other dirt, making it very easy to use on a daily basis.
・When you first use it, wash it with a neutral detergent and a soft sponge. If it is left wet, it may cause mold or odor. Make sure to dry it thoroughly before storing it.
・For stubborn stains such as tea stains, please use commercially available kitchen bleach. In that case, please use it correctly according to the instruction manual of the kitchen bleach.
・Can be used in dishwashers and microwave ovens. Please be sure to read the warnings and instruction manuals for each appliance before use.
