Body modification journalist Keroppi Maeda, known for her work on TBS's ``Crazy Journey,'' takes on an ancient mystery with tattoo artist Tsuyoshi Oshima! The shock of "Jomon tattoos" that revives modern people by actually carving Jomon patterns on their bodies! The long-awaited second exhibition of a new cultural movement originating from Japan!
Following on from the previous exhibition at "BEAMS JAPAN" (March 2020), we will also release new products from the "JOMON TRIBE" clothing series.
Keroppi Maeda
Body modification journalist/photographer.
Born in Tokyo in 1965, graduated from Chiba University's Faculty of Engineering and worked at Byakuya Shobo (Core Magazine) before becoming a freelancer. He has reported on the world's underground culture and introduced Japan to the forefront of overseas body modification. His activities were featured on TBS's ``Crazy Journey'' and became a hot topic.
His books include ``Crazy Culture Travelogue'' (KADOKAWA).
Oshima Tsuyoshi
tattoo artist.
As a specialist in tribal tattoos and blackwork, he travels around the world researching ethnic tattoos and not only recreating them, but also incorporates them into contemporary tattoo designs to create sophisticated works. He has a reputation for his high level of creativity.
