A pop-up shop for YUKI, a tie-dye artisan, will be opened on the 4th floor of BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) from Wednesday, July 17th.

In this pop-up shop, YUKI will be selling dyed T-shirts that she personally purchased in Thailand. Don't miss these one-of-a-kind T-shirts, each dyed to match the graphics. In addition, she will be selling a total of 150 items, including items she purchased while traveling around neighboring countries.

In addition, on Friday, July 19th, we will be holding a reception party entitled "SOUL FRIENDS PARTY". It will be held jointly with the "Yokonori Giga Exhibition" by Toshikazu Nosaka, which is being exhibited on the 5th floor BEAMS JAPAN. Anyone can participate, so please come along.

This time, he traveled to Thailand himself, visiting places where second-hand clothes are gathered, and purchased T-shirts that evoked images of dyeing, mainly animals and plants, and considered how to dye them to match the graphics, and dyed each one individually.
In addition, there will be special items created using butterfly graphics drawn by Toshikazu Nosaka, and items purchased during trips to neighboring countries other than Thailand will also be on sale!!

DYE/YUKI

Graduated from the Department of Textile Dyeing and Weaving at Osaka University of Arts. She became fascinated with dyeing and weaving during her university days and studied dyeing and weaving at university for four years.
She studied abroad at California College of the Arts for one year out of four years, where she learned about American dyeing and weaving, silkscreen printing, and culture, before returning to Japan. She continued to create art after graduating. In 2013, she started DYE, creating her own work, developing brands, and working with people involved in a variety of creative endeavors, including apparel brands, bands, and artists. She uses a dyeing technique called "tie-dye," which she has developed into a unique technique never seen before, and is using it to create her own works.
