We are hosting Tokyo's first Tomotatsu Gima exhibition. Gima creates his collages from the patterns and logos of the packaging and colourful boxes that arrive from all over the world to his hometown Okinawa, where he was born and raised.
The Exhibit, titled 'SOME POP', is built around the themes ''distribution' and 'consume'. The display includes pieces inspired by imported goods that are consumed in Okinawa, the films and fashion that have influenced the artist, American culture including music, and the series 'POP COLLAGE' that feature logos and merchandise of world famous brands. New artwork will also be exhibited and merchandise will be available for purchase.
