石川県が震度7の大地震に見舞われ、多くの人々が被災した2024年1月。石川県輪島市にあった漫画家・永井豪の記念館もまた全焼してしまった。しかし奇跡的に同館所蔵の原画やフィギュアが焼失を免れ、別の場所に移管されている。このことを報道で知った〈マンガート ビームス〉のディレクター橘髙は、石川県出身の永井豪さんとのコラボレーションでチャリティー企画のTシャツを発案。売り上げを被災地の寄付に充てるという提案に永井さんの賛同も得て、永井豪キャラ大集合のTシャツの受注販売が決定しました！ 今回は橘髙と永井さん率いる「ダイナミック企画」のオフィスを訪問し、自身の漫画家のルーツから、何度も甦る自作のキャラクター、そして創作にかける熱意などについて話を伺います。

In January 2024, Ishikawa Prefecture was struck by a magnitude 7 earthquake, causing extensive damage. The Go Nagai Wonderland Museum in Wajima City, Ishikawa, also burned down in the disaster. However, miraculously, some of the original artwork and a few figurines housed in the hall were saved and relocated. Upon hearing this news, MANGART BEAMS director Kittaka conceived the idea of a charity T-shirt project in collaboration with Go Nagai, a native of Ishikawa Prefecture. With Nagai’s support for the proposal to donate the proceeds to the disaster-stricken areas, they decided to launch a made-to-order T-shirt featuring a collection of Go Nagai's iconic characters. This time, we visit the office of Dynamic Planning, led by Nagai, along with Kittaka, to discuss the roots of his career as a manga artist, the revival of his characters over the years, and his enduring passion for creation.

26-year-old MIKU ITO is a voice actress for popular anime such as “Gotoubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets)”. She is also a singer, and as the culmination of the 5th anniversary of her artist debut, she is holding the “ITO MIKU Live Tour 2022 ‘What a Sauce!’” The limited edition Blu-ray of this live performance, released on October 12, includes an original T-shirt produced by Mangart Beams. 「AKB48」の中心メンバーとして、アイドル界の最前線で活躍し続けている柏木由紀さん。48グループ初の30代メンバーになった今、彼女の活動は新たなフェーズを迎えています。そのひとつが、音楽プロダクション「WACK」とのコラボプロジェクトです。この取り組みの一環として誕生したのは、柏木さん率いるアイドルグループ「SPY」。そんな「SPY」のデビューシングル『あなたを狙い撃ち♡』のCD特典として、〈マンガート ビームス〉は完全受注生産限定のコラボクッションを制作しました。そこで今回は、柏木さんのアイドルオタ時代の話、「SPY」のこと、さらには自身が目指すアイドルとしてのゴールについて、あれこれ話してもらいました。

Yuki Kashiwagi has been at the forefront of the idol world as a core member of AKB48, and now that she is the first member of the “48” groups to be in her 30s, she is entering a new phase in her career. One of which is a collaborative project with the music production company WACK. The idol group "SPY" led by Yuki was born as part of this initiative. As a CD bonus for SPY's debut single, "Anata wo Neraiuchi♡," MANGART BEAMS has produced a limited-edition, made-to-order collaboration cushion. 漫画やアニメを題材にしたTシャツレーベル〈マンガート ビームスT〉がスタートしたのが2008年。そこから14年の歳月が過ぎ、満を持してリスタートしたのが〈マンガート ビームス（以下マンガート）〉です。セカンドシーズンは、マンガやアニメのみならず、ゲーム、アイドル、テレビなどポップカルチャーを全方位的にフォーカスします。そして、リスタートを切るにあたり、ステートメントの制作を依頼したのがテレビプロデューサーの佐久間宣行さん。なぜ彼に白羽の矢が立ったのか、そして〈マンガート〉が目指す先は。佐久間さんと〈マンガート〉の担当者2人で送る、ポップカルチャー座談会。

MANGART BEAMS T, a T-shirt label based on manga and anime, was launched in 2008. Fourteen years have passed since then, and MANGART BEAMS (hereafter referred to as "MANGART") has now been relaunched. The second season will focus on all aspects of pop culture, including not only manga and anime, but also video games, idols, and television. And for the relaunch, we asked TV producer Nobuyuki Sakuma to create the statement. Why was he chosen and what is MANGART’S goal? Mr. Sakuma and two project members of MANGART will discuss pop culture in this roundtable discussion.
