The owners, EDSON and GEE, opened the store in 2004 after finding that there was no sneaker boutique they were satisfied with in their hometown of Amsterdam. Initially, they started by traveling around the world, picking up various sneakers that matched their eyewear, and selling them in stores.
PATTA is a word from Suriname, South America, where they are from, and it means shoes.
