Goldwork (Kanseeku) Matsu is produced by Mr. Toshinobu Uehara, who honed his skills as a craftsman at the traditional craft Takaoka copperware production site in Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture. He established his studio in 2015, strongly moved by the current situation of Ryukyu tin ware that was fading, forgotten tin crafts (shirkanizek), and the pot craftsmen who supported post-war Okinawan culture. We value the close connection between "people, things, and places," which are important elements of manufacturing that we have discovered over the course of our continuous creation.
