Sunami Toru Shoten

Founded in 1886 in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, the company originally produced tatami mats and flower mats, but from the fourth generation onwards, the company has focused on making igusa baskets, or "ikago." The fifth-generation owner, Takataka Sunami, also serves as vice-president of the Okayama Folk Crafts Association.
