Gozenshukuramototsujimototen

In 1804, the sake was awarded the purveyorship to the Mimasaka Katsuyama Domain (Katsuyama, Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture) and since then, the brewery has been making sake in Mimasaka, an area blessed with favorable conditions for sake brewing. In 2007, Maiko Tsuji, Okayama Prefecture's first female chief brewer, took over the techniques and is helping to revitalize the traditional brewery.
