Yamazaki hemp textile workshop/Yamazaki Asaori Monokobou

Founded in 1891 as a dye shop. We are the only weaver to inherit the traditional craftsmanship of Noto Jofu. We are working to pass down the traditional techniques that have been preserved for generations, as well as the culture and aesthetic sense of jofu, Japan's traditional summer kimono, to the next generation. We develop fashion and accessories products from thin and light summer kimono fabrics, which are sometimes described as ``cicada wings.''
