Komamura Seimeido has been in business for over 100 years since its founding in the Meiji era. In Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, they use a waterwheel as a power source to grind cedar leaves into powder to produce incense. Since their founding, they have maintained the pride and traditions of their craftsmen without making any changes to their manufacturing methods, which rely entirely on the bounty of nature, from their equipment to their materials.
