Straw craft pit / Warazaiku pit

In the mountainous area of Miyazaki Prefecture, known as Takachiho-go, a region where myths live on, we work on rice terraces and make handmade straw crafts. We are passing on our handicraft skills to the next generation while preserving the unique agricultural culture of this mountainous region, which is registered as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Site, and the beautiful rice terrace scenery of Hinokage Town.
