Founded in 1849 as a simmered dish restaurant in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, the restaurant has been producing handmade Yonezawa beef side dishes and other side dishes using Yonezawa ingredients, using the same simmering techniques that have remained unchanged for many years.
