“Put a patch on the jacket”
■ Design
This set of four patches by Laugh and Sunnyday features designs created by Goro Nakatsugawa of MIN-NANO. These are special items that can be used to customize your clothes, caps, bags, etc.
[Precautions when crimping patches]
1: Heat the iron to medium temperature. If it is too hot, it may damage the patch.
2: Stretch the fabric out thoroughly so that there are no wrinkles, and place the patch where you want to stick it, adhesive side down. The smooth side that feels smooth to the touch is the adhesive side. We also recommend sticking double-sided tape in the center to secure it in place.
3: Place a patch on top of the patch. By ironing over the patch, you can maintain the texture of the embroidery. We recommend using a plain handkerchief or hand towel made of 100% cotton for the patch. You can also use a baking sheet instead.
4: Press the iron onto the cloth for 5-10 seconds (repeat 5-6 times). Do not rub the cloth to remove wrinkles, but press the iron firmly from directly above. Be careful not to move the iron from side to side, as this can cause the patch to shift or the adhesive to come off.
For larger patches, make sure to iron the entire patch thoroughly.
5: Allow the adhesive surface to cool for approximately 15 minutes until completely dry.
6: To make it harder for the patch to come off, iron the back of the fabric as well. Sew around the edges with a sewing machine. After attaching the iron-on patch, iron the back of the fabric in the same way.
*If the lining fabric is different from the outer fabric, please check whether the material is suitable for ironing.
*Acrylic, nylon, polyester, and waterproof fabrics are sensitive to heat and may be damaged, so ironing is not recommended.
