This is a collaboration model with Chinese select shop INVINCIBLE. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of their partnership with ASICS, ASICS' iconic GEL-LYTE III has been reinterpreted in the silhouette of the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1, a modern design shoe.
■Details
This anniversary project, titled "404 RGB," is positioned as a sequel to the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 "HTTP 404" pack released earlier this year, with the "G" reconstructed in gray, a homage to the original color of the GEL-LYTE III. Continuing the deconstruction concept, "404 RGB" explores the "beauty born from imperfection" with different fabrics on the left and right upper panels.
■ Material
The left shoe features shaggy suede on the toe and heel, while the right shoe is crafted from smooth leather. The red and blue tongue label accents the color on the heel, emphasizing the asymmetrical concept. Details such as the spiral logo on the forefoot, made from translucent ripstop material, and the elongated ASICS stripe made from raw cut thread, are rendered in various shades of gray, layered together to create a sophisticated aesthetic.
