Create your own special pair of shoes with the unique replacement straps that can only be enjoyed with removable HANAO SHOES. This is a masterpiece made by Iwai Senko, a long-established company that specializes in kata-yuzen, a traditional dyeing technique from Kyoto called "Kyoto Yuzen."
■ Design
Iwai Senko is a long-established Kyoto dyeing company that has been dyeing kimonos for over 100 years since the early Meiji period, inheriting the technique of kata-yuzen. Kata-yuzen is a technique in which a pattern is carved into washi paper coated with persimmon tannin, and the block is used for dyeing. Iwai Senko specializes in small patterns, and is characterized by the delicacy of its patterns.
