The essence of cypress, grown in the mountains of Koga. Ninjaroma Cypress Aroma Oil is a 100% natural aroma oil luxuriously distilled from the heartwood of cypress trees grown in Koga City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of the Koga-ryu ninja. The special fragrance of this essential oil is achieved by using only the corewood, which accounts for less than 60% of the wood. Cypress, a species endemic to Japan, is even mentioned in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan). Since ancient times, the heartwood has been used as a building material for temples and shrines, and is known for its distinctive fragrance as well as its excellent antibacterial and insect-repellent properties. This forest scent combines a soft, enveloping freshness with the strength unique to the corewood.
