This Iyo Mizuhiki decoration is a Special order item from BEAMS JAPAN combining pine, bamboo and plum, which are suitable for welcoming the New Year's God. The highlight of Special order item is the orange (daidai) placed in the center. The orange fruit ripens in winter and does not fall off even after the New Year, but continues to grow for 2-3 years, so it replaced the word "daidai" (generations), and came to be used in New Year decorations as it brings good luck for "prosperity for generations." Iyo Mizuhiki, made in Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture, known as a paper production area, has a long history and is a traditional craft that is indispensable for Japanese weddings and funerals.
