A Special order stool by Akita Mokko, created by Isamu Kenmochi, a pioneer in the Japanese industrial design world.

The design combines simple beauty and functionality, and the seat is Special order-made in BEAMS' corporate color, orange. This chair is handmade by the skilled craftsmen of Akita Mokko, a company with a long history of specializing in bentwood techniques. It is light enough to be held in one hand, yet sturdy and durable, and its beautiful curves make it hard to believe it was made from a tree that was standing upright.
No.202 Stool won the Good Design Long Life Design Award in 2013.
