The length has been shortened by approximately 2cm from the regular model, resulting in a silhouette that is more in keeping with modern styles. The details of the early Gurkha shorts have been faithfully reproduced, such as the long extension at the front of the waist for size adjustment and the pleated mar belt with a button-fastened loop tab. The snug fit around the waist is also appealing. The silhouette is a wide line that falls straight down from the thighs to the hem. The material is poplin, a high-density woven fabric of linen and cotton. It has a firmness and stiffness, but is refined to give it a light, three-dimensional texture. The natural look of the linen slab and the deep texture of the fine brushing create a casual yet elegant impression.
