Based on a vintage wooden last from a 1960s French loafer, the last has been updated to fit the shape of Japanese feet. The top line of the opening is set low for an elegant finish. The upper leather of the "BLACK" model is made from Germany's Weinheimer G Box (Karl Freudenberg box calf), while the upper leather of the "RUST" model is made from Italy's Ilcia box calf. Additionally, the lining and sole of each model are made from Dupuy oak bark, and the channel is open rather than hidden, allowing the color of the oak bark to shine through. This pair of shoes is a culmination of attention to detail from the materials to the finish.
