Talisman is made from upcycled natural indigo textiles left over from clothing manufacturing.
The constellations, stars, and moon patterns are created using traditional Nigerian batik techniques. The Chinese basket pattern is created from hand-woven indigo vintage textiles from China.
Inside is California wild sagebrush and the edges are sewn with sterling silver beads. The length is adjustable with small silver beads. The tassel on the back when worn also adds an accent to your outfit.

Elena Chien is a Los Angeles-based jewelry designer. From an early age, she learned to navigate busy markets with her Chinese grandfather and became a collector and treasure hunter. Her hobby is traveling around the world, and she has gone to markets in various countries to collect textiles, beads, amulets, and processed goods. These are the inspiration for her jewelry line, SEE REAL FLOWERS.
