Faithfully reproducing the origins of the "Denim jacket"
■ Design
This piece was reproduced by WAREHOUSE & CO. as a short-type "blouse," which is the origin of the so-called "Denim jacket."
The straight-sewn shoulder line means that there is no sleeve seam, so the shoulders naturally drop when worn, and the fabric gathers like an accordion under the armpits. This is a characteristic of color fading from that era. The symmetrical pockets are also rare for workwear from that era. The front placket has buttons and the shirt holes on the body are vertical, while the obi is horizontal.

This duck stripe fabric is a reproduction of a sample produced by Greenhaum in the 19th century as a salesman's sample. It features thick stripes.
