■ Design
The classic BEAMS PLUS Madras check button-down shirt is a symbol of the spring and summer season. The original design color scheme released every year is attractive. This shirt has a classic fit and is finished with a relaxed feel.
■Details
Based on an American button-down shirt produced in the 1960s, it features a V-stitched left chest pocket and a collar shape designed for on/off wear. The side seams are narrow (3mm) and the overall number of stitches is set at 18 per 3cm for balance. All processes, including pattern matching, are completed by skilled craftsmen in Japan. The bottoms of both sides have a + mark bar closure, which is a typical BEAMS PLUS accent.
■Size
This shirt features a relaxed pattern with more room in the chest and shoulders than regular BEAMS PLUS button-down shirts, creating a casual look.
■ Material
Uses traditional Madras check woven in the southeastern region of India (now Chennai). The fabric is hand-dyed, then woven and dried in the sun, giving it the lightness that only Indian cotton can offer.
