The stoic style, which faithfully reproduces military service shoes, is based on the military last known as 379X. This is the last that ALDEN actually used when it received a request from the US military during World War II, and it has a volume in the toe box and a moderate shape.
The comfortable arch support and toe mobility give these shoes a versatile fit and rugged look that are the hallmarks of military spec.
The material used is Horween shell cordovan, which has a deep, wet-looking sheen and develops unique wrinkles the more you wear it.
