■ Design
These Special order shoes from RANCOURT&Co. are based on a canoe moccasin with a mudguard that extends from the toe to the heel. The short plug design, with a shorter instep, creates a wide opening and a well-balanced fit. The shoes feature braided laces and a kicker back at the heel for easy on and off. They are made using traditional hand-sewn moccasin construction at a factory in Lewiston, Maine, USA.

■Size
The shoe last used is the "555 last" with a gently rounded toe and an E-width. Starting with this black model, it is available in a wide range of sizes up to US11.

■ Material
The upper is made of black calfskin. The outsole is a single leather sole that is flexible and conforms well to the foot, combined with a Macphee heel. The bottom is finished with a brown painted surface.
