■ Design
KOVALAM's cross strap sandals are based on the sandals made by British shoemakers in the 1950s. The distinctive detail design features crossed leather on the instep.

■Details
We pay particular attention to fitting, and carefully set the placement and curve of the leather parts. The sole is custom-ordered from Vibram, the Italian company. It has a good balance of cushioning and durability (reducing wear on the sole). It is not just a leather sandal, but an extension of leather shoes, and is an item that you should wear with socks in the fall and winter.

■ Material
The upper is made of sand beige leather from the British company Stead. The model at the time had a single piece of leather upper, but this time we used two pieces of leather with a core sandwiched between them, taking into consideration the foot hold, the realization of a three-dimensional form, and durability (stretchability of the leather).
