The material used for both the outside and inside is Minerva Box Leather from Italian company Badalassi Carlo, which changes with age. The leather used is from the shoulder part, and features natural wrinkles (wrinkles) created by the animal lifting and lowering its legs while eating grass. (The appearance of the wrinkles varies from item to item.) The leather is carefully tanned with vegetable tannins, and is then generously soaked in animal fat to create an oiled finish, which gives the bag a deeper color and luster the more it is used.
