An innovative and elegant sound world
Sam Beste is a member of the London-based alternative soul trio Hejira and a multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer who has been loved by Amy Winehouse and Matthew Herbert. The second album by Vernon Spring, a solo project he started, released in 2021, is now available on vinyl from Lima Limo! He has changed from his previous improvisational production to a more complex approach. Incorporating hip-hop influences and sampling techniques, he creates a tranquil and beautiful soundscape that is characteristic of him. In addition, the writer Max Porter inspired the concept of this work. Cellist Kate Ellis, whose intuitive arrangements add immersive layers and depth. Aden, a vocalist, producer, writer, and doctor of astrophysics based in Brooklyn, NY, has also participated, giving the album an even more profound feel.
