A cutting-edge ambient artist from China
Cola Ren, a music producer/DJ based in Guangzhou, China, who has also performed at the music festival FFKT, has released a new EP on Human Pitch, the prestigious label run by Simisea and Tristan Arp, which has also produced artists such as Salamanda, and it has now been released on CD exclusively in Japan.
She has attracted attention for her percussive, poetic instrumental pieces that evoke nature, making full use of field recordings and electronics.
Once again, the delicate beauty soothes the listener from start to finish, but the tracks that stand out feature a pleasant expanse of trumpet tones, and the tracks that feature her own voice for the first time are also addictive.
Also includes remixes by Mong Tong, Guohan, and Wu Zhuoling.
