A group exhibition "CANDY CRUSH" by five up-and-coming artists who will lead the next generation will be held at BEAMS T Harajuku from Friday, May 10th to Sunday, May 19th. The theme of this group exhibition is "CANDY CRUSH." Born and raised in different environments, each artist expresses their own individuality (color) and sensibility through their own unique style and techniques.

The participating artists are Hara Takahiro, Marley Garcon, Samu Miyata, Taikou Kaneda, and Yuna Akabane, all of whom are active in a wide range of fields. During the exhibition period, T-shirts featuring the artwork of each artist will be on sale, and their works will also be exhibited and sold. Please look forward to the group exhibition "CANDY CRUSH," where you can experience the worldview of these five artists, who continue to create art with their own unique personalities.

■ Design

■ Material
The body of the shirt is an original blank T-shirt that BEAMS T has been working on for a long time, incorporating all of their knowledge and experience. It is a heavyweight 7.7 ounce t-shirt made from open-end yarn spun from American cotton. Although it has a slightly stiff texture, it is fluffy and dry to wear, and has excellent sweat absorption and quick-drying properties.

Yuna Akabane
Born in Beijing in 1997. Graduated from Pratt Institute (New York) and Capellagården (Sweden). Active both in Japan and abroad as an illustrator and textile artist. In 2016, she began collaborating with Chinese lifestyle goods brand "Jie Zhi" to create hand towels and other items, which continues to this day. She also designed the cover of the Chinese version of "A Life to Love, Life in the Kitchen" (by Tami Hiyama) and the hand towels commemorating the book's release. She was responsible for the image art of Korean tea brand "Apoteka Soul," the package design of Western confectionery brand "Food Circus," and the VI design of the Chinese gardening documentary program "Kekong Chun Tian Lai" (What Spring Brought).
