BEAMS T Harajuku will be hosting an art exhibition by Osaka-based artist Youhei Yasumitsu, who expresses his unique perspective through motifs of the cityscapes he has observed and the images and discomfort he feels in everyday life. "Walk About" is a show that showcases Youhei Yasumitsu's current state, with the theme of "walking." Starting with the cityscapes and landscapes he encounters during his walks, the discomfort and shock he feels there, and everyday experiences, the artist will present new works that incorporate his own unique expressions. "Walk About" also carries the meaning of a rite of passage, and for the artist, it is positioned as a prologue that connects the past with the future.

In addition to displaying and selling new works, the exhibition will also feature collaboration items with BEAMS T The lineup will include four apparel items – a long-sleeve T-shirt, crew neck sweatshirt, and hoodie – all featuring original designs and featuring the artist’s graphics on the front, as well as a cap and scarf, for a total of six items.

An artist based in Osaka. Using the towns he has seen and the streets he walks through daily as his motif, he expresses the images and sense of incongruity he feels there, as well as the experiences he gains from everyday life, as if overlaying them on the landscape. He captures the sensation of moving between reality and dreams in the voices and noises he hears on the streets he walks every day, and the accumulation of events that occur every day, and visualizes the incongruity and memories that lurk in the ordinary everyday in his works.
