Emilio Chavez
Emilio Chavez is an artist from Seattle, Washington, working in photography, video, and oil painting. His work leans towards a hands-on process using physical media such as prints, zines, cyanotypes, and screenprints. For his collaboration with BEAMS T, he used a variety of imagery from his archives, including Hi8 video stills, film photography, and printed labels. The labels were hand-dyed with various pigments, designed to leave variations and irregularities. This collaboration consists of two items that highlight the different approaches in Emilio's photography.
