The first step in the MALINGE family's long journey dates back 130 years. The founder made wooden clog shoes in the town of Tourlandry in western France. By the time his son took over the factory, it had transformed into a hand-sewn shoemaker that mainly made bespoke shoes but also made equestrian boots. The shoes they make have become widely known for their sturdy construction and well-thought-out comfortable fitting.
The current 4th generation head of the company will officially launch the brand `` JOSEPH MALINGE'', which bears the name of him and his great-grandfather, the founder. Using the know-how cultivated over four generations, we repair and operate old machines that are no longer available, and bring a "taste" to our products that cannot be reproduced with modern machines.
The iconic model "Jabot" we will be introducing this time has a round toe with a strong roundness that is reminiscent of their clog roots, and a solid bottom with a Norwegian welt and double sole. Moreover, it is a solid country shoe and a premium outdoor shoe with high comfort.
