The slant pockets with flaps prevent items from falling out, and the waist gaiter with elastic shirring prevents wind from entering.

The jacket is coated with a unique wax coating that makes it waterproof, windproof, and warm. With repeated wear, the wax coating dries and develops a unique, deep texture. If the wax dries, you can extend its life by reapplying the special repair wax.
