This fabric is made from premium Supima cotton yarn that has been twisted to the limit and gas-sintered to remove fuzz, aiming to create the ultimate second-skin jersey. It is extremely difficult to knit, and the super-twisted yarn requires manual work even when sorting, so the amount of fabric that can be made in a year is limited, making it a very rare material. The fabric used is dyed with a bio-processing method, which is also particular about its soft feel.

Designer Makoto Segawa was born into a family of Kyoto Yuzen painters and kimono tailors, and spent time in his workshop from an early age. In 2015, he jointly launched < MAISON FLANEUR > with an Italian company, where he concurrently serves as a designer and creative director. Aiming for a more conceptual direction, this brand started in the fall/winter season of 2019. We pursue the inheritance and reinterpretation of craftsmanship techniques from around the world, and the creation of universal products inspired by subcultures.
