This time, I ordered from Arikawa Kobo a single color without a pattern, even though there are many colors and patterns available, to allow the viewer to appreciate the quality of the material and the plumpness of the homespun. Even though it is a single color, the warp and weft threads are different colors, so the woven mesh stands out, and the unique unevenness creates a sense of depth. The elegant appearance is a length that is easy to wrap for both men and women.

Located in a residential area of Morioka City, this homespun workshop specializes in wool. Almost all processes are done by hand, from washing, dyeing, spinning, hand-weaving, and finishing the harvested raw wool. Homespun, which means "spun at home," is characterized by the unique texture and warmth that can only be achieved through hand-spinning and hand-weaving. Although production volume is small, each piece is packed with the artisans' passion.
