The window motif is used in this piece to depict cups and fish, a recurring theme in Fredrik Carrel's work.
■Artist
Fredrik Karell
One of the most talked-about young graphic artists in Finland today. In parallel with his graphic work, he is holding a solo exhibition at a gallery in Helsinki. He has worked on graphics for Helsinki Playground, visual design for the Collectors Market at Helsinki Design Week in 2023, event visuals for COMMON HELSINKI, and wine label design for the Helsinki restaurant Elite. He also continues to work as an art director and designer for Red Bull Finland. Influenced by Fauvism, Naivism, and folk art, his free-spirited expression that is not bound by existing rules is appealing.
HELSINKI PLAYGROUND is a creative community platform based in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, that functions as a hub connecting artists and brands active in a wide range of fields, including design, art, music, fashion, and culture.
