Palm-sized "Kotori" from Kaiba Glass Studio
There are three types made from natural sand: the champagne gold "Shirakuri" which is a reproduction of ancient glass; the light blue "Gassan Glass" made from sand at the foot of Mt. Gassan; and the olive green "Sendai Glass" made from sand from Sendai's rivers.
Beautiful glass that changes appearance with natural light and lighting.
It can be displayed on a windowsill or shelf or used as a paperweight.
The soft form has the charm of something that can only be achieved through handcrafting, and it is also recommended as a gift.

In 1996, Koji Murayama established the studio ``Kaiba'' in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. He creates works using various sands from various locations, including the local Hirose River, as well as olive green "Sahara Glass" made from sand from the Sahara Desert. He is involved in a wide range of projects, including simple works that convey the fluidity of glass, as well as the planning, design, and production of sculptures.
