■ Design
The gathers on the tiered dress are reminiscent of the gathers on the tops of the Rabari (Indian pastoralists), and are generously arranged like signposts, creating a voluminous design. The edges of the fabric are left unfinished, but the elegant feel of the wool and the gathers add an accent. There are pockets on the sides, and the slightly visible pockets and printed fabric around the neckline are also carefully designed.

■ Material
Two types of fabrics were produced using worsted merino wool yarn in Oshu, a woolen textile production area. The twisted worsted yarn is slowly woven with sufficient density to incorporate air, resulting in a unique texture.

GLEN CHECK: A classic glen check pattern created by combining unprocessed natural yarn with undyed brown yarn. The undyed nature of the material makes it light and comfortable to wear.

MIDNIGHT: A deep blue surge fabric with a midnight-like transparency. The two widely spaced lines are inspired by the selvedge edges of vintage canvas fabric.
